Major Titles!!"~ Ys Vs. Trails in the Sky Tagline
Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga (イースvs.空の軌跡 オルタナティブ・サーガ) is a fighting game developed and published by Nihon Falcom for the PlayStation Portable. The game features a clash between Falcom's two main franchises, Ys and The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky with appearances by a cast of familiar characters from each of the two series.
The game's story mode is similar to the ones in other games from the fighting game genre. The player follows a character's journey across several stages to meet and fight different adversaries until achieving that character's epilogue. Unlike other games however, the battles follow Ys SEVEN's overhead display of combat and giving the player a greater variety of combat capabilities unique to those of an RPG.
An official English localization of the game, featuring enhanced graphics, 60 FPS, online and local multiplayer, and rollback netcode, is scheduled for release in 2025 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It is based on the previous fan translation by the group The Geofront.
