According to the Japanese wiki, in order to maximize the attributes for a particular weapon or armor as cheaply as possible, a certain procedure is required. The procedure is as follows:
- Obtain 3 Short Swords/Leather Armor, depending on if you want to maximize a weapon or armor.
- Obtain 4 Sturdy Hide, 4 Sturdy Bone, 18 Sturdy Shell, 18 Sturdy Hair, 8 Titanic Bone, and 4 Amethyst
- Reinforce one of the Short Sword/Leather Armor with the following ingredients in the following order:
- Sturdy Hide x2
- Sturdy Bone x4
- Sturdy Hide x2
- Sturdy Shell x2
- Strong Hair x2
- For the other two Short Swords/Leather Armors, reinforce with the following ingredients in the following order.
- Sturdy Shell x8
- Strong Hair x8
- Titanic Bone x4
- Amethyst x2
- Finally, reinforce the target weapon/armor first with the Short Sword/Leather Armor +16, and then with the two Short Sword/Leather Armor +65. If done correctly, the target weapon/armor should be +72!
