Xavier (グザヴィエ) is a roo whom Adol meets in Balduq Prison. Unlike other roos, he speaks in human language.

Appearance

Xavier a is white-furred roo with large, round black eyes. He has a tuft of white and light blue fur on his chest and head, pointed, gold-colored tipped ears, and long golden horns that extend from the back of his head. He wears a blue cape and two big hoop earrings with a cyan sphere in the middle of each.

He carries a small sword and its sheath on his back.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

Xavier first meets Adol in a storage room in Balduq Prison, he ends up assisting Adol with exploring the prison to find a way out.

Later he tasks the party to find the Holy Sword that was used in the Hundred Years' War. He reveals that he was once a knight who fought alongside Rosvita. That Holy Sword he was looking for once belonged to him. Due to one of Zola's experiments, he was turned into a roo.

The encounter with Adol triggers his interest in adventure, so he decides to leave Balduq after the Grimwald Nox is no more. He joins with Saradhi on her treasure hunt, although Saradhi jokingly threatens to sell him to a circus if he fails to point her to hidden treasure.

Holy Swordsman's Lament Once a knight from the Hundred Years' War, his soul was by some fate given life anew. Even now does he care for his comrades. The Odd Couple Inspired by Adol, he became drawn to adventure, and decided to leave on his own journey treasure-hunting with Saradhi.
