XSEED Games is an American video game publisher and subsidiary of Marvelous that specializes in localizing Japanese video games for western audiences. Founded by former members of Square Enix USA, they localize and publish games for the North American market. They also provide sales and marketing support services for video games and related materials, primarily for Japanese corporations looking to market consumer goods in North America.
One of XSEED Games' notable achievements is their localization of several titles from Nihon Falcom, including the Ys series. They began their localization efforts with the 2010 release of Ys SEVEN for the PSP and have since continued to localize several more entries in the series. Their successful localization of the Ys and Trails series has helped to raise awareness of Falcom's games in the west.
In recent years, NIS America has taken over localizing Falcom games for western markets.
