Warp is a game mechanic that allows the player to teleport to a certain points in game. In Ys series, it is usually done using a warp item. The warp item varies among all games, but most of time it's a wing of some sort. In older games, the warp item is a consumable and need to be purchased in shop. Later games it become a key item that can be used infinitely.

In Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana and Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, the warping ability is unlocked from the start without requirement of any item.
Warp points[]
Warp points are location or monuments that Adol and the party can teleport to. They usually doubles as heal points. In some games (for example, Ys Origin), they also provide extra functions like saving the game or shops.
