Towering Coral Forest is the second dungeon in Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. Adol will find his first adventure gear, Grip Gloves, in this dungeon after defeating the mini boss. This is the first dungeon that can be explored in night.
Structure and Design[]
The dungeon is separated into a top section and a bottom section. The top section spawns coral and reptilian enemies such as Larfo and Repleon. The bottom section is mostly rivers and spawns Pinha and Gwaranga. Some parts of the dungeon are connected by vines and cannot be access until the party defeat the miniboss Serpentus and acquire the Grip Glove. Few treasure boxes are placed on higher ground of the bottom section and can only be accessed by jumping off from the top section at the right place.
