Sister Nia (シスター・ニア?) is a pious nun who had visited Xandria on behalf of the Hieroglyph Church before returning to the Romun Empire. She gets shipwrecked on the Isle of Seiren and becomes part of Castaway Village.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Sister Nia is a young woman with blonde hair and green eyes. She wears the blue nuns' outfit for Church sisters of the Hieroglyph Church, including a long blue dress, habit, and a pendant of the Church around her waist.

She later rips her dress and takes off her habit in order to become less of a burden for Adol while climbing the Weathervane Hills.

Personality[]

Sister Nia is a pious nun with a kind heart, although her religious devotion can be overwhelming. At times, she comes across as a bit of an eccentric. Believing that everything is in accordance with God's will, she believes the Lombardia's sinking and her arrival on the Isle of Seiren are trials presented to her by God.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana[]

Adol and his team found her when she entered a dark cave, trying to find mushrooms for sustenance. Nia was unquestioning in her belief in God, but her belief was shaken when the Nameless Ripper killed Captain Barbaros, as she truly believed that a good man like Barbaros should have been saved.

After seeing Adol's strong and pure will she became inspired and recognized that, while God loved all, it was up to humans themselves to shape their own fate. Her belief stronger than ever, she put her whole being into helping the other people of Castaway Village however she could, like teaching Licht about medicine or washing clothes.
