Saki Momiyama (籾山紗希 ) is a composer and arranger formerly employed at Falcom, she was born in Kanagawa, Japan on July 22, 1985 and Graduated from SHOBI College of Music. She left the company in January 22, 2014.
Momiyama was first exposed to Falcom with the Famicom version of Ys I at the age of 3, and studied composition since her second year of high school with the goal of making music for Falcom. She joined the sound team in 2008, after participating in doujin activities and releasing 4 CDs during college in the circle Wisteria.
Momiyama had been enrolled between Zwei II and the first Trails of Cold Steel, making her the longest staying composer out of the latest members. She stopped working on music after marrying Sonoda in 2014, but has started again as of fall 2017.
She is highly proficient at all sorts of music genres and is able to skillfully employ a wide variety of music composition tactics. Her composition style was truly unique, with a strong ability to construct soft emotional pulls in nearly all of her pieces while maintaining an elegant, dramatic feel. Her music is a lot more colorful and diverse than her husband's, featuring a unique, genuine poetic feeling compared to her husband and everyone else. Some of her representative Falcom tracks would be Ys Seven's "Desert of Despair", Trails From Zero's "Get Over The Barrier!", Trails To Azure's "Unfathomed Force", Nayuta's "For My Precious Friend" and Trails of Cold Steel's "The Glint of Cold Steel", which would definitely shape the modern Falcom sound. Her number of contributions is also relatively high compared to the other members, and she seems to be able to do any kind of music, such as ballads and orchestra.
In her time as an internal member of the sound team she had to abide by the companies strict policies, she, along with every other member of the sound team, were not allowed to make public appearances, public statements, interviews or have social media, their work was also not individually credited. Contractors like Jindo or Singa were not bound by these restrictions.
