Ryo Takeshita (竹下遼 ) born on February 23, 1985, is a composer that was formerly employed at Falcom. He composed music for Trails in the Sky the 3rd, Ys Origin and Ys Seven. Nowadays he goes by the pseudonym "Deadball-P" and is best known for his extremely far-out and hardcore Vocaloid compositions.
Takeshita's songs stick out for their unique synth, fast-paced instruments, and extremely catchy melodies. Due to his style of composition, he is a natural fit for energetic themes (such as battle ones), where he shows an intrinsic understanding of song pacing, contextual application with instrumentation, and proper melodic construction. he is also very skilled at incorporating a mystical and ethereal feeling in his songs, which give his tunes a dreamlike quality. Sadly, he didn't remain employed at Falcom for very long, but during his short tenure he put out some highly impressive work; work so impressive, that after he quit in 2007, Falcom used his remaining leftover tunes for years to come.
