Orichalcum comes into play when Ricotta utilizes orichalcum throwing darts to scare off Avalodragil, a formidable Primordial. Recognizing its effectiveness against these creatures, Adol and his companions become intrigued by the metal and its potential.
Eager to understand more about orichalcum and harness its power, they seek the expertise of Kathleen. Through her examination of the darts, Kathleen sheds light on the ore's unique characteristics and its mythical reputation. With the knowledge that orichalcum can harm the Primordials, Adol and his group become determined to locate the ore, viewing it as a means to not only defeat the Primordials but also to reach the other side of the Isle of Seiren.
Driven by a vivid dream in which Dana wields an orichalcum weapon, Adol remembers the vision as a clue to their quest. Inspired by this revelation, they embark on a journey to uncover additional sources of orichalcum. Their search eventually leads them to the Cavern of the Ancient King, where they successfully locate a vein of the metal.
With their newfound acquisition, Kathleen puts her skills to work, processing the orichalcum in her forge. The result is the enhancement of the party's weapons, imbuing them with the power of orichalcum and providing them with a potent means to confront the challenges that lie ahead.
