Norton (ノートン) is the harbormaster in Promalock who was first featured in the backstory for Ys I in the original PC-88 manual. After being directed to look for work in the harbor by Biksen, Adol found work with Norton, who he became swift friends with. Later, Norton would supply Adol with the first boat he would ever shipwreck with (on his way to Esteria).
He would later return as an NPC in Ys IV: Mask of the Sun, where Adol would catch him up on the events of Ys I & II.
