Night exploration is an activity that can be conducted in Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. Adol can start night exploration of a dungeon by staying in the campsite that is located at the entrance of the dungeon. During night exploration, enemies will be different from those of normal exploration. There will also be some sleeping enemies that will awaken when the party gets too close to them. There will also be some unique harvest points or fishing spots during night exploration.
The night exploration maps will be reset even if the map was explored 100% in the daytime.
The night exploration can be ended by returning to the camp or exiting the area. Fast travel is disabled during a night exploration.
There are three regions that can be explored in night: Towering Coral Forest, Gendarme Mountain, and Pangaia Plains.
