Gardner (ガードナー) is the faithful guardian and overseer of the peaceful area known as Redmont. Stern but wise, he is experienced and truly knowledgeable. Well built for a man of his age, he always tries his hardest to look out for the best interest of the citizens of Redmont. He has no time for no-good rabblerousers, but always time for a friend in need.
Although his ties to Redmont itself are unknown, Gardner sits atop all others as the undisputed leader in the list of Redmont's guardians. Armed most of the game with his spear, cape, hat, and armor he stands out among a never ending line of warriors.
Gardner at one point also gives further information about the location of Felghana, revealing it is precisely halfway between Garman and Gllia.

Later in the game following an attack on Redmont, Gardner is momentarily injured but lives on to protect and serve others. Always keeping his vows and remaining loyal. You will be required at one point to relay a message from Gardner to Adonis.
