Morbihan (モルビアン?) is a Nors spirit of the river.

History[]

Under the command of the Nors god Grimnir, he had fought against the Grimwald Nox alongside other spirits and demigods. After the Hundred Years' War, where Grimnir and Luki killed each other, most Nors spirits disappeared as Gllians' faith in them dwindled due to the advent of the Hieroglyph Church. Despite losing much of his powers during this time, Morbihan alone managed to survive thanks to many Gllian fishermen's belief in him as the spirit of the river. He later made an oath to previous generations of Monstrums that he would watch over them with what power he had left as long as they kept fighting, the promise which he has been keeping for the past 500 years.

Trivia[]

  • Morbihan's design is based on an Axolotl.
  • His skill name references Undines, a type of elemental being associated with water.
  • His name is most likely based on the Morbihan department of real-life France, meaning "Little Sea" in breton language.
    • Strangely enough, although the rivers Loire and Loir both exist in France, neither of them traversed the city of Lutetia (the real life equivalent of Balduq) nor the department of Morbihan.
