Maiko Hattori (服部麻衣子?) is a composer and arranger that was previously employed at Falcom, she left the company some time after 2002.

Though Hattori made her first appearance with The Legend of Heroes IV: A Tear of Vermillion's Windows version, she made her first big splash with the Zwei! and Dinosaur Resurrection soundtracks, where she fully demonstrated her capabilities as a composer and arranger. Hattori excelled at creating atmospheric pieces by fully utilizing airy sound effects, properly paced string instruments, and a keen ear for sound balancing that made her one of the most unique composers that has ever worked for Falcom. She was also skilled at evoking mysticism, mystery, and the supernatural with her music, and had a natural knack for focusing more on the environmental feel of a song as opposed to pushing a theme through a melody. Hattori was also proficient at making scenes sound dramatic without having to turn up the volume.

That being said, she ran into some unknown issues later on in her Falcom career, with many of her songs thrown into RINNE (an obscure game released on the same day as Ys: The Oath in Felghana) and having her remaining final songs for Ys VI largely arranged by Ishibashi and Jindo.
