Lucien (ルシアン) is a seneschal of the Hieroglyph Knights. He is held captive in Balduq Prison after he questioned the misidentifications and false charges that were carried under Chatelard's command, and was considered by those around him to be on "extended sick leave."

Appearance

Lucien is a young man with light blue eyes and medium length blonde hair. He wears a khaki v-neck shirt and reddish brown pants, a belt with a red cloth tied to it, a brown bracelet, brown sandals, and a small pendant around his neck. On him arms and legs, a number of small scars can be seen.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

Four months before Adol arrived in Balduq, Lucien was held captive in Balduq Prison after he questioned the misidentifications and false charges that were carried under Chatelard's command. The Knights waved off his arrest as an extended sick leave, and were planning on carting him off to Romn in secret until the Monstrums intervened and rescued him.

Cutting ties with the Hieroglyph Knights, he lends his aid to the Monstrums in their struggle against the Grimwald Nox, and starts investigating what Chatelard is planning.

Beneath Two Shadows Holds his brother, Chatelard, and the future they sought in high regard. He is unable to conceal his grief... Seneschal's Purpose He dissuaded his comrades from pursuing another revolt. The late Chatelard's noble chivalry appears to live on through him. Oath by Sword and Soul Unbeknownst to the others, he set up a grave for Chatelard, promising to carry on the fight for Gllia and support Adol's cause.

• He had an older brother who fought alongside Chatelard and died during the Erdlingen War. The three were close friends, and Lucien held the other two in high regard.
• If Adol does not finish the side quest that gets Lucien to join the Dandelion, he will still appear in the bar but, Dogi would be the one that rescued him.
