Karion (カリオン) is an antagonist in Ys V: Lost Kefin, Kingdom of Sand. A fearsome swordsman of few words, he turns out to be one of the three lieutenants under Rizze's command.
History[]
Along with Baruq and Avis, Karion came to the outside world with his master Rizze when the seal on Kefin got weakened. They seek to find the six crystals that act as the seals on Kefin.

Ys V: Lost Kefin, Kingdom of Sand[]
Karion first appears when Adol visits Niena in her shop at the beginning of the game. He takes the medal that Stein found in the ruins of Kefin, which turns out to be the key to enter Kefin, and warns Adol to not get involved before disappearing. Karion appears again with Rizze and other lieutenants after Rizze uses all six crystals to break the seal on Kefin completely, causing the ancient city to appear once again.
Near the end of the game, Karion confronts Adol for the last time when the latter tries to get to the core of Kefin and destroy the Philosopher's Stone, the source of Kefin's alchemy. After the vicious battle, Karion is defeated.

- In the original concept, Karion, Avis, and Baruq do not appear. Their role is replaced by an anonymous Kefin officer.
