The Ark of Napishtim? I find it difficult to believe that a thing out of a children's fairytale actually exists.
Ingrid Celda (イングリド・セルダ ) is a brilliant interrogator of the Romun Empire. She was transferred to the Prison City of Balduq to facilitate the cross-examination of Adol the Adventurer.
A staunch realist, she does not seem to believe Adol's mysterious experiences with the supernatural to even the slightest degree.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Ingrid is a woman with short brown hair and brown eyes. She wears a beige jacket with a gold trim, puffy sleeves, and a white belt fastened under her bust. Ingrid also wears a dark reddish-brown fishtail midi skirt, a necklace and two scarfs along her shoulders both bearing the Romun Empire's crest, two-tone brown gloves, black heels, and a pair of earrings.
Personality[]
She is seemingly a strict and professional interrogator who can be unreasonable at times, and a realist who refuses to believe any of Adol's stories. She also has the tendency to use the word "preposterous" to describe any situation she finds baffling.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox[]
Ingrid has been assigned to interrogate Adol following his arrest in Balduq. Despite his descriptions of his adventures, Ingrid dismisses them as delusional fantasies. After Adol's escape from prison, Ingrid has been relentlessly searching for him. She strongly dislikes Adol, blaming him for various supernatural occurrences that she has witnessed in Balduq.
In reality, her true job is to be a "paranormal investigator" who investigates paranormal phenomena, and is affiliated with the Romun military police.

Trivia[]
- She acts as an agent of the player, and asks Adol a bunch of questions that the players want to ask him. For example:
- "Why do you encounter more shipwrecks than most fisherman in their lives?"
- "Where have you put away the ancient artifacts in your adventures? I suspect you sold them to black market for profits.
