Anemona Rijndael (アネモナ・ラインドール^?) or Doll (人形 (にんぎょう) , , Ningyō^?) is a playable character in Ys IX: Monstrum Nox. She is a beautiful, doll-like Monstrum created by a leading craftsman. She has the ability to see invisible objects that other cannot see.

For some reason, she wants to get in touch with the adventurer Adol Christin.

Anemona's earliest memory is waking up at the Rijndael Antiques Shop, although she was unable to move. One day, Anemona had the desire to see the outside world, so she found that she can move her arms and legs. With Anemona's newfound freedom, she was now able to leave the shop in secret to search for something she desperately wants to find, but she has no idea what it actually is. When she thought to herself that she wished to find out, she discovered her Gift as a Monstrum.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox[]

She enlists Adol and other Monstrums' help in taking back the stolen saint statue from fake Monstrums. She is an antique doll from Rijndael Antiques Shop, treasured by the couple who runs the shop. After successfully retrieving the statue, she joins Adol and his party as she feels Adol's attempts to solve the mysteries of Grimwald Nox can help her discover something about her own past.

Anemona's original owner turns out to be none other than the saint Rosvita. Anemona first awakened when Rosvita joined the army to fight in the Hundred Years' War. After the war, she was taken by Zola for his Alchemy experiments. She was given a human sized body and a soul, then her memories with Rosvita were used to transmute a clone Rosvita's soul and into an empty homunculus to be revived as Aprilis.

In the ending, she is given a real human body, and is seen living with the owners of the antique shop.

	A Doll's Duty Arche was found playing with her, laughing and smiling all the while. Such is the crux of a doll's purpose.
	Tea for Two She invited Adol to a tea party. Seeing her holding the cup adorns with Rosvita's image that Adol gave her seems right somehow.
	Distant Memories In the past, she was the beloved doll of Rosvita's youth. The "Father" who granted her a conscious soul remains unknown.
	One's Heart She found what she'd been searching for at last, fulfilling her centuries-old promise of having a tea with her beloved friend, Rosvita.
