Trivia[]

  • In the original concept, she played a more important role, she would travel to the town of Ramzen to beg for the aid of a powerful warrior to help defend her town from monsters and the desert's expansion, while there, she was attacked by the apostles of Narm, Dogi heard her cries for help and fought off the attackers, she would then beg Dogi for his assistance in defending her hometown of Felte, which he would agree to, she would later fall in love and marry him.[1]
  • In the PS2 version of Ys V, Effey unintentionally confesses her love for Dogi during a cutscene.
    • In the game's epilogue, if Niena is sacrificed, Effey and her father, Mujaba, ask Dogi to settle down in their town to which he agrees to, at least temporarily, as revealed by a letter sent to Adol from Dogi himself, Effey's father also stated that he wouldn't mind letting Dogi have her.
    • In the game's epilogue, if Niena is saved, Dogi is seen in the Xandria town Inn having a meal with Mujaba and Effey, after he asks Adol where he was heading to next and offering to come along, a seemingly drunk Mujaba insists that Dogi should stay, after realizing how good it is to have him around and even stated that he wouldn't mind if he married his daughter, this embarrasses both Dogi and Effey. When Adol is about to board a ship towards his next adventure, Dogi catches up to him and tells him that both Mujaba and Effey don't really want him to leave, so he decides to stay, albeit temporarily, and promises the adventurer that one day they will meet again.
