Cleria (クレリア) was a metal found in Ys, created by the Black Pearl, and became the cornerstone of its prosperity.[1]
Background[]
The Cleria in the ground of Ys served as an amplifier to the effects of the Black Pearl. It amplified its magic, allowing its inhabitants to use magic at will, but also the 'demonic essence', the distortion of the earth that gives rise to the demons that invaded Ys.[2] Cleria is the reason demons seemed to spawn from the Cleria mines in Ys.[1] Therefore, with the help of the Six Priests, the Goddess Feena and Reah had all Cleria sealed away in chambers cut off from the Black Pearl's influence.[1]

Up to six pieces of Cleria Ore can be found inside Darm Tower. When playing as Yunica Tovah or Hugo Fact, the ore can be taken to Rico Gemma at the Search Party Base, who will use the ore to strengthen their weapons. The third character automatically absorbs any Cleria ore found.
