Profile[]
Background[]
During the Erdlingen War eight years prior to the events of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, General Bourdon was the commander of the 4th Battalion of Gllia's army. After suffering a major defeat, he retreated inside Balduq's walls. The Romuns pursued him and started a siege against Balduq, led by the Romun General Leo.
After the Gllian army grew desperate through the effects of the siege war, General Bourdon agreed to a battle plan proposed by Chatelard to turn the tides of the battle. Chatelard and his company led a surprise attack on the Romun camp in the middle of night. Bourdon agreed to launch a pincer attack at the same time to finish off the overwhelmed Romun troops. However, General Bourdon changed his mind shortly before the attack, staying inside Balduq's walls. The Romun troops were thus able to recover and completely annihilated Chatelard's company.
The Gllian royal family surrendered to Romn soon after, but kept the events of the battle a secret from the public. General Bourdon was imprisoned as a war criminal in Balduq Prison for abandoning the Balduqian troops. Zola used him as bait to lure Chatelard to do his bidding. At present, he is still confined, having transformed due to experimentation.
