Canute Gamley (カヌート・ガムレー) is a Norman hailing from the Kingdom of Danmerk in Ys X: Proud Nordics. He possesses a striking appearance yet often exudes a lackadaisical demeanor that makes him difficult to grasp.
Known as Canute the Bloodstained (血濡れのカヌート), he is a first-rate warrior and the son of Sven, the ruler of Danmerk, who spearheaded the campaign against the seven kingdoms of Britai. He has fought alongside his cousin Karja during the Britai Expedition.
In addition to his martial prowess, he is a skilled tactician, having devised strategies that rescued his outnumbered forces from perilous situations. However, for reasons unknown, Karja feels an inexplicable unease in his presence.[1]
