Cameo appearance is a character from an existing media franchise, or in this case other video games, making a brief appearance in a video game. It could be a blurred or partially blocked appearance in scenes, or voice-only appearance by the same voice actor.
There have been many cameo appearance of characters shows up in the Ys series. Some of them are easter eggs or fan services. Others are reference to a character relationships from earlier in the timeline. Recurring characters are not counting as cameos.

Marguerite will ask Adol to collect 120 Azure Petals around Balduq. For every 10 petals you found and give her, she will give you some rewards. Moreover, during some of the conversations, some previous characters seems to "possess" her and talk to Adol directly.

Before fighting the Egg of Draupnir[]
When he is pondering if he should break the egg, 6 animas appear around him giving him advises. These six animas are animas of Reah (White ball of light), Feena (White ball of light), Dark Fact (Black ball of light), Eldeel (Yellow ball of light), Tia (Blue ball of light) and Dana (Cyan ball of light) created through Alchemy by Zola.
Other cameos[]
- General Leo was mentioned to be the one who defeated General Bourdon in the Erdlingen War.
- In Chapter 4, when Krysha is taking Adol on a tour of the Main Square, Adol can choose to mention him seeing juggling on a deserted island. This is a reference to a Hummel's affinity event.
- In Chapter 8, when visiting Pendleton Company, a staff will ask Riche Pendleton question about their Altago branch, stating "The current sovereign requests your presence at royal banquet."
- When gifting
"The Five Dragons" to Jules, Adol can choose to say that he fought the Dragons themselves or that he knew the current sovereign of Altago.
