Buff portions are a type of dropped items in Ys series. They are found in two games: Ys: The Oath in Felghana and Ys Origin.
Battle Draught
It's colored red. Temporarily increase your strength (STR) when picked up. The bigger bottle's effect last a bit longer.
Guard Draught
It's colored blue. Temporarily increase your defense (DEF) when picked up. The bigger bottle's effect last a bit longer.
Spirit Draught
It's colored yellow. Temporarily increase your the recovery rate of your magic power when picked up. The bigger bottle's effect last a bit longer.
Legacy[]
In later Ys games, they have been replaced by Attack bonuses and Advance controls.
Trivia[]
- Continuously landing hit will increase the experience rate gained in battle. The counter will reset once the time depleted. The hit combo bar appears below the buff bars.
- The colors (red, yellow, blue) of the draughts seem to match the Three weapons systems.
