Baruq (バルク) is an antagonist in Ys V: Lost Kefin, Kingdom of Sand. A sorcerer of small stature, she turns out to be one of the three lieutenants under Rizze's command.
History[]
Along with Karion and Avis, Baruq came to the outside world with her master Rizze when the seal on Kefin got weakened. They seek to find the six crystals that act as the seals on Kefin.

Baruq first appears with Rizze and other lieutenants in the middle of the game when Rizze uses all six crystals to break the seal on Kefin completely, causing the ancient city to appear once again.
Near the end of the game, Baruq confronts Adol at the top of the Southern Tower in Kefin. Taking Niena as a hostage, she taunts Adol. Thankfully, the Ibur gang, who have been hiding behind the pillars, takes Niena to safety while Baruq isn't looking. Realizing that his hostage is gone, Baruq is enraged and engages Adol in a battle but is defeated.
