Afroca (アフロカ), also known as the Dark Continent (暗黒大陸), is a continent south of Eresia and the Medo Sea. Two locations in Afroca have been visited so far, Xandria (Ys 5) and Altago (Ys 7). It is similar to the real world continent Africa. A world map revealed in Ys: Memories of Celceta shows that Afroca is roughly, if not exactly, the same shape as the real world Africa.

The city of Xandria is currently, according to maps, part of the Romun Empire. The Kingdom of Altago to the west has been in war with Romn but has since made a truce.
The epilogue of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana mentions that Ricotta Beldine and her father Thanatos went on to travel to central Afroca, though their exact whereabouts are unknown.
